Academic Hoarding

 Though these collections of archival documents, artworks, and cultural artifacts are often seen as treasure troves of information, seeing for myself the vastness of the collections (see the graph below) caused me to pause and think about the sheer volume of material. Though known for it's negative connotations, the word hoarding came to mind, but in both forms of its definition:

 This exhibit shows appreciation for the comprehensiveness of Yale's academic collections that explore the vibrant culture of the Himalayan region, while also reflecting on the nature of academic collections themselves by critically examining their origins and purpose.
